News Update :

Bad Bubba

Flubba, Bubba.
Bad Bubba. Whining Watson.
You hate to see stuff like this but it's apparent Bubba Watson went Ugly American in Paris the past two days at the Alstom Open de France, aka the French Open.
First, Bubba didn't have to go to Paris. He wanted to go and the six-figure appearance fee, perhaps as high as $240,000, was a nice incentive.
Next, consider the venue, Le Golf National, is no pushover. It's tough and will host the 2018 Ryder Cup. It hosted Bubba for two days and evidently he was a horrible guest.
Watson complained about the crowds, the security, the cell phones, cameras—virtually anything he could complain about.

The galleries should have complained about Bubba's poor play but they didn't; he received applause—a lot of it—but if you watched in on the broadcast, you could see his disinterest. His body language told the tale: He didn't smile, didn't talk to his playing partners.
He mocked the Paris landmarks and at one point, according to Bernie McGuire, reportedly refused to ride in a courtesy car with a European player.
Watson didn't want to give interviews and didn't want to give a clinic for youngsters.
Bad Bubba.

It's not like anyone twisted his arm to go.
Bubba did manage to make six birdies in 36 holes, but that was it.
"I'll play the British Open because it's a major, that's the only reason," Watson said.
Don't do us any favors, Bubba.
