It has been well written about and covered since Tiger Woods announced his return to golf next week at the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club.
Since withdrawing from the Players 12 weeks ago, suddenly complaining about neck pains that he fears might be a bulging disk, Woods has held by his statements that he would only return to golf if he was 100 percent healthy.
At the AT&T National, it was made public that he and long-time caddy Steve Williams had split.
Woods said he had not hit a golf ball with anything other than a putter since the Players.
Now that the announcement has been made that he will indeed tee it up next week at Firestone, how is it that he is now fit to play competitive golf after saying he would only return when he was 100 percent healthy?
Will the knee hold up to four rounds of tournament golf?

Woods will play four rounds seemingly, barring another withdrawal, as there is no cut at the Bridgestone Invitational.
How will he play? Will he contend? Will the knee hold up? How is his game? Well only time will tell. Maybe Tiger needs to take a leaf out of his idol, Jack Nicklaus and play till October then rest and come back for the Masters.
