Webb Simpson secured his first US PGA tour title with a three shot win at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro.Simpson was two shots clear at the top after three rounds and did not look back in a final round 67, finishing 18 under for the tournament. With none of his competitors making a serious charge, Simpson required a steady rather than spectacular day to pocked the US Dollars 936,000 winners' cheque and he duly obliged. He had a bogey-free round as he won the battle with his nerves and added birdies at the ninth, 15th and 16th holes.George McNeill put in an eye-catching showing to take second place, shooting six birdies on the way to a best-of-the-day 64.Tommy Gainey, one of the early pace-setters with a first-round 63, had a poor day but clung on the third place. He hit five birdies - including four in a row on the back nine - but counteracted them with two bogeys and a double-bogey six on the 11th.A group of five were one stroke further back on 13 under, with Fiji's Vijay Singh, Sweden's Carl Pettersson and South Korea's Kim Kyung-tae among that number as the top-ranked overseas players.
