Luke Donald's father, Colin, has passed away. He died suddenly on Monday night, the world No 1's management confirmed yesterday. Luke was at his home in Chicago awaiting the birth of his second daughter. Diane, his wife, was due last week.
Donald extended his thanks to all those who offered their sympathies. "It's a difficult time and your support means a lot to me," he wrote on Twitter. "With death there is pain and loss, but out of that comes light and appreciation. Appreciate what you have. I miss you dad."
