European Tour Weekly’s first edition of 2012 sees us visit South Africa for the first of three events, starting with the Africa Open. Once again East London Golf Club plays host to the tournament and as always European Tour Weekly will be on the range to report all the latest news prior to the event.
European Tour Weekly will take a look back at the climax of the 2011 European Tour season where Luke Donald created history by winning the Race to Dubai to become the first player to top the Money Lists on both sides of the Atlantic. Donald tells ETW about his sensational year along with his hopes for the new season.
It’s also been another strong year for The European Senior Tour where the battle for the John Jacobs Trophy came down to two players, Barry Lane and Peter Fowler. ETW takes a look back at the 2011 season which came to a climax at the MCB Tour Championship in Mauritius.
After another highly successful year for The European Tour in 2011 the attention turns to the new season where there is even more excitement with it being a Ryder Cup year. One of the most challenging and tense weeks of the year is the six day gruelling examination at Final Qualifying Stage, where 156 hopefuls tee up at PGA Catalunya resort in Girona attempting to gain one of the 30 cards and ties that guarantee playing privileges on The European Tour.
