Tiger Woods said on his website on Monday that he will play in the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard, to be held March 22-25 at Bay Hill Club & Lodge.
The tournament will be Woods’ fourth PGA TOUR event in five weeks. He lost in the second round of the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship, then finished tied for second at The Honda Classic. Woods is also playing this week at the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship.
Several of Woods’ greatest moments have occurred on the 18th green at Bay Hill. Woods has won there six times in his career, none more dramatic in 2009 when he drained a 25-foot birdie putt to beat Sean O’Hair by a single stroke. It was the third time Woods birdied the long par-4 18th to win.
