Tsai wins Mercuries Taiwan Masters by 4

Tsai, who also won this event in 2002, finished at 4-under-par 284 at Taiwan Golf & Country Club.

"The wind was blowing all over the place and I wasn't the only one who was struggling. I guess I'm quite lucky to have won this," Tsai stated.

Tsai, 44, led by six entering the round, but was 4-over par after 15 holes. He steadied himself with a 30-foot birdie effort at 16. Tsai dropped another shot in the final two holes, but it was more than enough for the win.

Antonio Lascuna managed a 1-over 73 to grab second place at even-par 288.

American David Lipsky flew up the leaderboard thanks to a 5-under 67. He shared third place with Yih-shin Chan (71) at plus-1.
