Shane Lowry’s victory at last week’s Portugal Masters
Shane Lowry’s victory at last week’s Portugal Masters capped a glorious summer
of golf on European shores, and as the 144-man field prepare to tee it up down
under this week at the ISPS HANDA Perth International, it marks the start of a
six week global countdown to the season-ending DP World Tour Championship,
Dubai. In this time The European Tour will visit Australia, China, Singapore and
Hong Kong, before the top 60 on The Race to Dubai is finalised, and they all
head to the Jumeirah Golf Estates’ Earth Course for the dramatic season finale.
This week in Perth therefore marks a very important time on the calendar, and as
such, there is plenty of top talent on show and ready to fight for the title on
Australia’s west coast. Follow all the action on europeantour.com where you will
also find all the latest from the Challenge Tour’s penultimate event, the Crowne
Plaza Copenhagen Challenge hosted by Royal Golf Club, with just two events left
to climb into the Rankings top 20 and ensure a place on The European Tour next
season.
