The first round of the Allianz Ladies Slovak Open 2012 is under way


The first round of the Allianz Ladies Slovak Open 2012 is under way on a glorious, sunny morning at Gray Bear Golf Course in Tale ski, golf and hotel resort, within the Low Tatras Mountains, near Brezno.
Marjet Van der Graaff of the Netherlands emerged a stroke clear of the field at four under par for the back nine after countering a bogey on her first hole, the par three 10th, with five birdies on 12, 14, 15, 17 and 18.
Italian Veronica Zorzi was three under after six holes after a run of three successive birdies from the second.
Lucie Andre of France also made a strong start at three under par after six holes. Andre birdied 10, 11 and 14.
Zuzana Kamasova, who became the first ever tournament winner from Slovakia in Morocco last year, is playing at her home course. She tees off at 12.30pm from the 10th in the same group as Marianne Skarpnord and Rebecca Hudson and is sure to receive a warm welcome from the crowd.
